Oh Cincinnati theater season…how I do adore you! There are SO many amazing shows coming up, I am seriously shivering with anticipation! Next up in the amazing parade of fantastic productions: ONCE at the Aronoff Center for the Arts!
I have to admit, I wasn’t entirely familiar with this production when I first heard about it coming to the Aronoff, so let me give you a little background in case you find yourself in the same predicament I was in –
It sounds like an amazing story, and I imagine I might need a tissue or two before the night is over. The music is said to be amazing, and my husband was actually already a big fan of the music before I had even heard of the show.
Everything I have seen at the Aronoff has been amazing, and I know that this show will follow suit. I can’t wait to share my night with you and hope if you are looking for a date night soon you’ll put this at the top of the list! If you want to make it a night you should check out Date Night Cincinnati’s post: Dinner and a Show

EDITED to add: This show was amazing. The music is beautiful and haunting, acting is fantastic, characters are sweet and funny and full of energy. Dani de Waal as the Girl was so funny and endearing. She and Stuart Ward had such a natural rapport, it really did seem that we watched their friendship, and budding romance, come alive on the stage. I strongly suggest you get your tickets for this show before you miss it. It’s a perfect holiday date night event, and you will regret it if you miss what is sure to be a new favorite.
